I just returned from the southeast of Utah, namely Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The above image is of "newspaper rock" which is about 65 miles south of Moab, Utah. I can't imagine what the stories on the rock would actually tell one, but it would make for interesting reading if one spoke "pictorial" language.The trip was characterized by cold mornings (typical of the desert), mostly warm afternoons, and strong (80 kph) winds in blowing sand on 2 of the days. In the next few posts, I will share more of the Moab images.

The newspaper rock is a piece of great abstract art work! Obviously,people always like art no matter how long ago.
