The Mark of Time

I have often thought of the concept of "time" and mentioned it in previous blog entries. I think we can all agree that there is no such thing as time per se. At least nothing that we can put our hands on, or see, or even hear. But nontheless "time" leaves its mark in a very real way.

We tend to get slower physically over "time", our mental acuity becomes degraded over "time", "time leaves physical lines on our bodies, and our personality and outlook change over "time". The above image that I took a couple of years ago reveals that time even leaves its mark on the physical universe. These lines in the sandstone near Drumheller, Alberta reveal some of the weathering that has taken place over "time".

How do we counteract these effects of "time" one might ask??? I know of no way other that to accept the effects of time gracefully, with a good attitude and a daily smile.

Wishing you days of smiles and love,

Live well and prosper,
Dennis

  1. Time seems not very good to people because it just wants to make more wrinkles on our faces and more fat on our bellies. But I love your wrinkles that records your rich and varied life experiences and wisdom; and I love your belly too because I feel you are my Happy Buddha.

I had never seen this image before. It is just great! I love the compsition and the color which is very very haomonious. I would like to see the image you took from long distance. It must be a wonderful seascape.

    Love
