A Hazy Morning along the Yangtze River

I came across this image of my trip to China and thought I would share it with you all.  This is a shrine along the shores of the Yangtze River between Chongqing and Yichang.  The total trip was 3 days.  Enjoy!

  1. This 18th century shrine is called "Shibaozhai Temple". The most special thing about this temple is the red wooden 12-story pagoda rises stunningly against a 30 meters high rock outcropping along the banks of the Yangtze River. And it was built without nails! The legend says that the higher you climb up the Shibaozhai pagoda stairs, the better your wish or prayer will be answered.
Did you climb up to the top of the pagoda?
