An Artistic View of Atkinson Point

Somebody once commented on this image which I took sometime ago from a friend's apartment in West Vancouver. They said that the lighting conditions were like they had never seen before. I had to agree with them, however the image was not created entirely by natural lighting. In fact the broad dark stripes are the result of me photographing through the blinds on the window. The typical venetian blinds were partially closed as I shot the image through the bedroom. As is typical, the blind was so close to the camera that it could never be in focus and resulted in this effect which I quite like. Now you know that a lot of my artistic images are created or rendered rather than just recorded.

Live well and prosper.

  1. I believe that sometimes master piece is created by accident! The unfocused shape of the blinds on the window brought somewhat mystery to your seacape image.
