A Photographic Painting

I have been trying to edit some of my photos into "paintings" for a new book I am doing on Bowen Island scenes.  Here is one taken from Bowen Bay which I quite like.

Enjoy

A Foggy Day Exploring Bowen Island

I like this photo a lot.  Just taken recently on a foggy day near home on a walk with my daughter and grandson.

Was This Photoshopped??????

I was asked today by someone at work whether the above image was photoshopped.  This seems to be a constant question by many people.  I think what they really mean is: "was this image digitally altered".  In other words did I add/substract or change anything in the image.  The original image is of the cheetah in a medium trot, but not full out running.  By using the motion blur filter in photoshop I was able to give the illusion of the animal in a fast pursuit of some prey.

So this answer in this case is: "yes this image was photoshopped":-)

Spring Is Here????

An image taken from my front yard on Bowen Island yesterday.  Let's hope that the crocus signal the start of spring.

Back from Kauai

I just returned with family from Kauai and have begun processing images.  I quite liked this image taken during a rather sudden rain shower.

I will share others soon.

Warm regards,

Images From My New Home

I like this image a lot as I recently took it near my new home on Bowen Island.  The island has many photographic opportunities which I hope to share with you in the coming days.

A Short Visit to Bowen Island

Yesterday I took a short trip to Bowen Island with my daughter and family .  While she and her husband were attending to some business, my grandson and I went looking for berries on the shores of Kilarney Lake.  My grandson noticed this flower and suggested I photograph it.  I must say I like the delicate pink color contrasting with the dark green.
